    • I suspect that you’re correct about Hobbes. These women do seem a tad more Machiavellian than Hobbsian — although the atmosphere that the producers encourage is very much a war of all against all. Reality television encourages an environment as close to a state of nature that I can think of. A better example of Hobbes is the television show “Survivor”. The producers attempt to create a true state of nature. I hadn’t remembered that show until now.
